A “STRAINED” BACK
have you ever been diagnosed – strain back ? Well; I am aware of the terminology, but I never knew how it felt; that is till last friday. now I know, for I think I have strained my back.
The ache is dull but movement makes it sharp. All the treatment that i can have is naturopathy and my own resourcefulness – I have decided that I need rest my back and make as little movement as possible and hope for the best – it could be the disk!

It is past midnight - as is my usual wont now a days I had fallen asleep after my first and last meal of the day some time in the evening - a full meal after starving for the whole day makes me real drowsy and I woke up feeling refreshed and was thinking it is already the morning but it was just nearing one AM over here.
the time now is exactly 0100 hrs IST : and I am trying the internet connection after a rather long gap. After repeated breaks from 31 october BSNL has connected me again today 20111125 around 1300hrs.
The usual practice is that the moment a complaint is registered the external staff will be put on duty and invariably they will come to me and tell me that they have checked the line and there is no fault. This time, for once after I shifted to nedumangad exchange, the line staff had invented a break in the cable at one spot. That was during the break on 17.11.2011. and today ( 25.11.11) they had found that there was another break at the same spot where they had repaired the cable on 21 nov. An earth mover was working in that area and was the culprit I am told! I had visited the place ( about 500 mtrs from my residence ) and the under ground cable is lying very much over ground there at the moment waiting to be damaged again.

The latest strategy
The latest with the internet connection is that the dialer is unaware of the adsl link being broken; however immediately the LAN connection is broken the dialer will kick in and ask whether to redial or not.
My hunch is that this technique has been developed to mask the break in connection being recorded on the self care portal as was being done in the past after I had published the usage details of my connection on the web.
Of course without the ADSL connection I cannot browse the net and the data transfer cannot take place. So I keep a watch on the ADSL LED and rest assured as soon as I find that the ADSL link has gone off I will cut off the LAN and the connection will get broken physically.
I have changed my plan with the BSNL from a rural un-limited to COMBO 500 which is a limited one. The advantage is that the speed promised is 2MBPS while the earlier plan it was 512 kb only. and I am trying to find out if it is going to make the bullock of nedumangad BSNL change its ways.
As I am typing this in, I have the ADSL modem switched on. I have connected it to the telephone cable – the line was getting noisy on connecting through the splitter and so I have the whole telephone line connected directly to the modem. The LAN is not connected. And I can see the ADSL light getting switched on and going off time and again. Ultimately the member of the indian pimp service ( or his subcontractor for that matter ) has become tired of the gimmick and has left it on.
Now as soon as I plug in the LAN cable on to the puter (my poor net book), the ADSL light will get switched off and then start blinking again. And from my part immediately the ADSL light gets switched off I will pull out the LAN card. This struggle will go on for some time. I do not know whether my doing so makes any sense at all; but there is no harm denying some thing the pimp wants –why not connect the adsl cable first and then the LAN ?
Ultimately the pimp gives in and I use my dialer to log in. I visited the hindu and after going through the head lines turned to manorama. And within no time I saw the ADSL LED goes off. And I had cut off the lan and the computer came to know that the connection has been disrupted.
Right now it is 2056 GMT and the power supply ( the mains of my shack ) has been cut off. I have my emergency lamp close by and have switched it on and am continuing after shifting from the monitor to the net book screen. Usually the power supply will be restored after a few minutes for the pimp has to switch off the line supplying the whole area and if the power cut drags on one of the neighbours might complain.

I have got the ADSL modem on with whatever power there is on my ups and am going to try logging on to the net and publish this – now as a law abiding citizen of india you pray to whichever god you have in your pocket and wish me Bad Luck.

A LAY MAN'S CONCLUSIONS
I have absolutely no training in info tech and you dont have to accept my view of things – make your own conclusions. It could be that I am completely wrong on my presumptions but I can vouch for the fact that the internet connection is being tampered with.
After the repeated breaks in the connection coming out graphically and being published on the web the indian pimp service wants to do it on the sly and avoid being exposed – it could also be possible that the telecom had objected to this obvious interference. So instead of taking over the connection to my computer before I log on to the server of the ISP now a days the manipulation is being done after I have logged on to the net.
the system of the indian pimp service is interposed between my system and the server of the isp via the LAN and the pimp would love to do this before I dial the isp and log in. the adsl connection will then go through the pimp's system when I dial the isp.
If I have the adsl already connected before I connect to the lan and log in the ADSL connection will have to be manipulated to enable meddling with my net connection and it it is during this meddling that the ADSL light disappears from my modem.
The transient interruptions in the adsl led after being connected to the net and the connection to me for all purposes appears to be intact is when the pimp is trying to manipulate the web sites I am visiting – most of the time this happens immediately after I type in the user name and password to one of the sites I frequent.
My internet connection for all practical purposes can be squeezed or freezed at will by the pimps. The speed of data transfer will be decided by the indian pimp ( or this sub contractors for that matter ) and the speed claimed by the isp 2MB or even 2GB will not make any difference to the way I access the net. There is nothing I or anyone else can do about it – because I am living in a police state with no rule of law and where the secret police rules supreme.
When you are sure you are going to be raped, why not lie down and enjoy it . Well “gentlemen” then it is no more a rape; but a consensual act of sex. My principle is to fight them to the last breath and rest assured I will do it.

the blogger it looks is in basic html mode and there is nothing i can do about the formatting and all and i cant afford the luxury of long hours on the wireless net even to spite the gestapi - gestapi is the indian secert police.

Saturday morning – pBirds on duty.
" SECURITY" POWER CUT
There is no powersupply- I am on batteries of my netbook. Yesterday around 10am the power was switched off it looks. I left for trivandrum around noon and came back by past 2100hrs. And throughout the night the power line was off – not only in my house in the whole area.
The rains have lashed this area yesterday and surprisingly there was no rain in trivandrum city just 10kms away.
PETITE LILY BADLY MAULED
My petite lily is in the workshop. She landed up on a boulder that had hit exactly the petrol tank. I tried to drive her off and may be that caused more damage. Ultimately I had to jack her up where she was release the rock and drive her out when I noticed the tank leaking.
The service people promptly came and said she will have to be towed to the work shop. Their towing vehicle was in tamilnadu and I will have to hire one. I was even otherwise sorry for the poor girl – she never got towed and was always on her own steam. So I suggested why not connect her to a small tank – a bottle of petrol and that way she was driven to the work shop.
the whole episode was on 20111020. The spare tank was to have come from quilon by yesterday. But it did not. How come ? simple – the gestapi has put himself on the job and there is no point my trying to expedite.
INFOTECH INDIAN EDITION
I got a copy of the fiirst bill from the telephone company – I got one print out from the cto tvm. The copy that was to be sent to me by post never reached me. Reason – obvious from the address given on the bill.
This must be the address provided by the intelligentsia of the nedumangad bsnl – remember initially they claimed that the letter for shift has never reached them that was till I brought the cat out of the bag.
Procurer calling
And here is a procurer calling me desperately on the phone in the dead of the night 0220am indian standard time to be precise. Around five times
– you can get the record from the incoming calls list that is incase the data again has not been wiped out from the data base. i did not bother even to see who is calling and did not switch on the light; just lifted the handset and kept it back immediately - the call gets recorded and is cut off within seconds; the ring came again and ditto happened I remember how many times and then I went back to sleep.

Why this sudden interest in my welfare ?
It is not the interest in my welfare dummy;
they are following orders - orders from the indian pimp service.
The tricks are not working and the pimps have to save their face some how or other and cannot afford to fall in the eyes of their admirers mainly members of the SFF (sexually frustrated females ). so they are turning into “welfare” officers – “udaranimitham bahukrita vesham”
But i have not forgotten the days when I did not have any cooking facility and had to walk out of the joints I used to have food as the indian pimp had ordered the staff not to serve me.

It could be that the modus operandi of the indian pimp has changed regarding my internet connection tampering. It could be that I am allowed to log in directly into the server rather than through the pimp's proxy server and once I log in the line is taken over and the pimp's system is interposed in between me and the server.
could that explain the adsl LED getting switched off and even then the dialer showing me connected and then the adsl led blinking and the connection getting going again as if nothing had happened – just a novice's guess work; you dont have to take it seriously. but is that a possibility ?

SOMNOLENCE POST-PRANDIAL
now a days i get up rather early; there is a reason - my semi starvation diet.
i take a breakfast bread and eggs mostly and drag on till the evening. and it is when i feel terribly hungry that i cook my main meal of the day. - i hate cooking . this rather heavy meal ( yesterday it was boiled tapioca and a mackerel - rather a big one ) on an empty stomach eaten with the greed of a violently hungry person makes me feel real sleepy and once i get into the room, where i have nothing else to sit on except my bed, the next thing that happens is that i am fast asleep. try however hard i may i will not be able to keep awake and many a time a wake up early in the morrning with the door open and all the lights on - not a very safe thing to do.
so now a days immediately i get inside the room - i cook my meal in the varandah - i lock the door and switch off the lights. the end result is that i wake up early.
but waking up early does not help in any positive way for there is the wiring work for the transformer - yes, the transformer is going to be installed soon - and so these days the electric power is off on that pretext throughout the whole day. so no way of doing any positive work and the sweltering heat of the day time makes you drowsy. i do not even have a fan.
ECONOMY MEASURES
yesterday i made a trip to thiruvananthapuram and i used public transport - gas is almost INR70 per ltr and i will use up two ltrs for a trip to the city and back - in the first half km of the way from my house to the bus stop one would use 4 wheel drive if that was available - and was trying to economize. i walked the mud path covered with boulders to the local bus stop.
as i was waiting in an isolated corner, at the other side of the junction an informer of the indian gestapo was describing me to an old woman who probably was seeing me for the first time and educating her on the gestapo gesture - but she will have a problem showing the gesture for she uses purdah.
then another person came to me to gather information about where i am going and i lied to him on purpose.

( A FEW DAYS BACK a couple of school children, there were three of them , waved my car down and asked for a lift to their school about two three kms away. as i was trying to let them in a "gentleman" of the locality started bullying them and was commanding them to go walking. the youngsters ignored the chap and i also did and let the boys in. enroute i asked them if the fellow was a policeman - there was no point for they wouldnt know ; to them all policemen are supposed to be in uniform.
i collect water from a distant neighbour's well - luckily they have not said no to me till date though i am really worried about being told so. there is a youngster in that house very fond of my bike an enfield bullet on which i carry the water - how do i carry the water on the bike ? some one asked me . interested ? please look up my web albums with picasa. he used to play with the bike while i was drawing the water from the well and a few days back the men from a neighbouring house were trying to scare him away from me. rightly so i feel. - I AM A WILD ANIMAL )
soon the bus which had gone to mula mukku it is not amminja but bamboo, mulla came back and i made a comfortable trip to the city - got down at statue - by then i was terribly hungry and had a cup of coffee and a banana fry at the coffee house - brought some dough from spencer to make dosa and took a carry bag as well for i was planning to buy fish - at athe fish market instead of paying one hundred rupees and getting eight mackerels purchased three for forty rupees.
walked to kaithamukku and looked up the sintex water tanks - got some very useful information from there; it was a company run outlet.
been to a computer shop where i purchased some cases 20 x 1 x 3 cd books for most of my cds are lying helter skelter and walked over to teh east fort in time to catch a bus that goes directly to my place - lucky me

to cut a long story short i made my purchases and came back and made the trip on just 22 rupees by public transport. i do enjoy driving my little lily but spending at least INR 150 on petrol is some thing i can ill afford and taht is why i chose to travel by public transport putting up with all sorts of inconveniences - i like the walking part of it but detest the bus ride.
BUT WHERE IS THE POINT !
the above is all to put in proper context what happened day before yesterday - that is on friday. i the miser drove all the way to the military camp in thiruvananthapuram in vain. the indian pimp service saw to it through a very carefully executed "security" operation.
i mentioned the sweltering heat over here. i do not have a fan and one badly needs one over here - actullay i have two table fans brought in the mid eightees and ninetees obviously not in very good shape and i had taken them to the repairer and the repair charges were a bit too high and i thought it was not worth spending so much on thos old specimens and had taken it back home. what i was planning was to buy a pedestal fan so that i can use it here and once i complete the house it can be useful there as well for i do not intend to use ceiling fans.
